Women and Children First is a member of The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health. The goal of the partnership is to support the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 to reduce by two-thirds the mortality rate of children under five and to reduce the maternal mortality ratio by three quarters by 2015
Women and Children First was a member of the organising committee, and volunteered, for the Women Deliver conference in London in 2007 and particpated and presented at the Women Deliver Conference in Washington DC in 2010. The conference focused on creating political will to save the lives and improve the health of women, mothers and their newborn babies around the world.
Women and Children First is also a member of The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. The alliance aims to increase public awareness of the need to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for all women and newborns.
Women and Children is also on the steering committee of the UK Network on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and is an active member of the Action for Global Health network.
