Capacity building
Women and Children First (UK) believe that building and strengthening the existing capacity of qualified indigenous personnel working in our partner organisations is an essential in reducing maternal and newborn mortality and improve the wellbeing of women, children and newborns. Capacity building assists in strengthening the capacity of communities to organise and demand appropriate services, and also assists in developing the skills and knowledge of the health care workers who provide maternal and newborn health care.
We believe in equity in partnerships and work in collobaration with our Southern partenrs. We support their work by securing funding and providing Technical Assistance.
