DFID Launch Maternal Health Strategy Progress Report

DFID has launched the third progress report on its Maternal Health Strategy, stating that 2008 will see DFID revitalise its approach to tackling MDG 5 in Africa, and even greater emphasis will be given to strengthening the high-level political will to achieve MDG 5. DFID’s support for Women and Children First’s initiative to ensure that all UK partners in advocacy for maternal health are coordinating with each other ensure strength in messages through clarity and consistency across civil society is highlighted in the section on DFID support to civil society.
