Make a Donation

Donations are our lifeblood and, in turn, the lifeblood of those women and children we reach. We need you to help us to equip women with their most vital survival tool: knowledge.

Make a One off Donation | Setup a Monthly Donation | Donate by Post

You can now also make a donation by texting BABY 10 followed by the amount you want to give £1, £2, £3, £5 or £10 to 70070. For example if you would like to make a donation of £10 please text ‘BABY10 10’.  Donations can be made using any UK mobile network.

Gift Aid will make your donation worth more at no extra cost to you. Please tick the box on the following page to Gift Aid your donation. If you give by text you will recieve a message asking if your donation qualifies for Gift Aid.

If you are donating by post please download and complete our Gift Aid form and send it with your cheque to the address on the form.

How your donations help

A women’s group can be established for little more than the cost of training a facilitator. Once the group is up and running, the knowledge acquired by its members spreads to the entire community, changing attitudes and behaviour.

As well as giving women life-saving knowledge and the confidence to approach and use the local health services, Women and Children First helps health services to plan, manage and deliver good quality care, on an equitable basis, within communities.

This is the difference your donation could make:

  • £2 will pay for a woman to have a safe delivery
  • £5 will pay for one woman to attend a women’s group for a year
  • £50 will pay for a women's group facilitator for a year
  • £80 will run a women’s group for a year
  • £100 can save a mother's life in Nepal
  • £210 can save a newborn's life in rural Bangladesh
  • £10,000 will help to establish a new women's group project

Thank you for your help!

Saving Lives

Up to half a million women and three million newborn babies die each year in pregnancy and childbirth or soon afterwards, the majority of them in Africa and South Asia. For every woman who dies at least twenty more suffer complications which leave them with lifelong disability and pain.

Our unique programmes are saving the lives of mothers and babies every day. We need you to help us to equip women with their most vital survival tool: knowledge.
