Welcome to Women and Children First (UK)
An estimated four million babies every year die before they are one month old.
Women and Children First (WCF) improves the health and wellbeing of women and children in poor communities, with a particular focus on pregnancy and the first month of life.

WCF currently works in Bangladesh, India and Malawi, and has previously worked in Nepal.
It is shocking that every minute in 2008 eight newborn babies and one woman died in childbirth, and this tragedy continues in 2009. Read what Women and Children First is doing to prevent these deaths and improve the health of mothers and their newborns in our 2009 Annual Review and latest newsletter.
